Coal Creek Canyon

We ran up to Utah for a family reunion over the 4th, Patrick was the only one of our kids that went with us, with the girls married and Trevor on a mission our family is smaller than ever. I talked Patrick into going for a walk with me, I was hoping to get a few shots of him since he hasn't let me take his picture for over a year. He does let me talke pictures of his dog, thanks Patrick but it is you I wanted a new picture of.

My 2 year old grandson came for a visit and found the office door unlocked, this is one of his favorite games to play, he pulls it apart we put it back together, this is not the first time he has picked the letters off of grandpas keyboard, but I am hoping this is the last time, we now have a new rule "check to see if the door to the office is locked even if someone says it's already locked". Funny how you can laugh at what your grandkids do that would have sent you own kids to their room for a month.

The climbing tree

When you go to great grandma Walkers you have to climb the "climbing tree" and have your picture taken. This little tree is the only tree that the grandkids and great grandkids can get into by their self so it has become a favorite for them, but it is my favorite because of the pies my dad makes from its apples.

. . . and that's what little boys are made of

My boys are all grown up, so it was fun to spend some time with this little guy. He stopped to pick up a stick here and there along the way, then he put them away for safe keeping. Bugs, worms, rocks and sticks, lots of dirt add some water to make that wonderful stuff called mud, toss in a few skinned knees and of course a puppy to follow him around, that's what I think little boys are made of.

I hadn't seen M... in a while so the first thing I noticed was no more braces, then when her sister walked into the room I realized how tall M... had grown in the last year, and I better make it clear that was her older sister she was standing next to, but don't worry A... you still have her by at least an inch. Hope to see you again real soon.
