Picture Book

Willard what did you think of the story I read you last night?  I thought it was great.  Did you see the little mice on each page?  Wonder what they were up to?

Chicks and Salsa    by Aaron Reynolds
What a cute story, a must read in my book.

Picture Book

Willard this has to be one of your favorites, right?  Don't you love the way those chickens know just what needs to be done?

Chickens to the Rescue  by John Himmelman

What do ya know?

So Willard, I was out and about yesterday looking for books, which I seem to be doing a lot lately, anyway this lady, a complete stranger says to me "I love your hair style".  I said thanks and moved along still looking for books but couldn't help thinking "what is it with this hair cut? even my husband and my kids like it."  It's been years since I had a cut that I liked, and could make it look the way I wanted it to look every day.  How long to you think it will last before I take the scissors and start whacking away?  Anyone who knows me all knows that I have a hard time leaving the scissors in the drawer.  That's the thing about hair it grows.  But for now I'll just enjoy it.  Hey Willard need a trim?

Picture Book

Willard I know it's cold out side but try to listen here, this is a cute story.

Geffrey Groundhog Predicts the Weather by Bruce Koscielniak

Oh . . . and by the way on February 2nd the groundhog did see his shadow so lucky for us there will be 6 more weeks of winter.  I know my sister in Idaho was wishing the little guy would have left his shadow in his den, sorry Linda you'll have to wait a little longer for spring to get to Idaho.

Don't pay the ransom I've escaped

So Willard have you been enjoying the house to yourself?

It's been a long time since I had 5 minutes to myself, I went to work full time, so my free time is spent cleaning the house and running to the grocery store.
While I was taking these pictures Bailey ask "why are you taking more pictures of me I have the same smile as last time," all I could do was think just how much she has changed over the years, form a toothless grin to missing teeth and now with all her teeth again, how quickly kids change even if they don't think so.

ASU Grad

Willard you should be so proud of Patrick, he walked arcoss the stage and picked up his diploma, he didn't trip or fall down or anything, it was great.

All the tests, homework, and driving down to campus might be over but now the hard work begins, real life, a job, bills all the good suff you have waited for all your life. . .

Please someone send me back to school, those where the days!! Ice Cream for breakfast, I only had to wash my own clothes, didn't have to scrub any toilets, bought a new eight track tape every week, it was fun, not work to wash my car, stayed out as late as I wanted and lets see I was making the big bucks $4.25 an hour.

Bird watcher

Hold on there Willard those bread crumbs are for the birds.

Bailey made a bird house at Home Depot on Saturday and brought it up to my house, then the rest of the day and all day Sunday she watched out the window, sprinkled cracker crumbs, then made a trail of bread crumbs for the birds to follow so they could build a nest in the new bird house, she got so excited everytime a bird got close to the bread crumbs or the bird house and if her numbers are correct we had just over a million birds in the yard over the weekend. I love how she used the middle of the bread (ever kid knows that's the best part)

On the Road again

I miss him too Willard, but think of it this way, now you have your own room!

So Trevor came home from his 2 year Church Mission on Feb. 17 and now he's driving cross country to work for the summer. I know it's a good think for him and I did tell him to go, after all when is he ever going to be more young and free than he is now and he'll be able to see some sights and do things he would never be able to do if he stayed in Phoenix, but man I miss him.

Here is where they will be dirving today and finishing up the trip.

Clean baby clean

Willard it's 2am why are you still up?

I fell asleep on the couch the other night, (which I seem to do a lot), when I woke up around midnight, everyone had gone to bed the t.v. was on some strange movie and for a minute I didn't know what day it was (I hate when that happens)so I got up put away a few things and before I knew it I was cleaning my house, I almost vacuumed but decided it might wake someone up. Around 2am Willard came down to see what I was up to, I'm not sure but I think he check his watch for the time, anyway we talked for a while then he went back upstairs I heard him scratch on one of the doors so I went to see what he wanted, turned out Patrick's door was shut so Willard couldn't get into bed, poor baby, I opened the door, noticed Patrick wasn't even home. Remember when you were young and liked staying up late? Oh well . . . I went to finish cleaning, funny how much you can get done in the middle of the night, no one to bother you, or phones to answer, this could become a habit.
